In Minot, North Dakota, Gary found the subject for his painting "Silent Memories." The church opened in 1906 as the First Evangelical "Swedish" Lutheran Church with 21 charter members. It later became the Augustana Lutheran Church. Today it is operating as the Church of the Latter Day Saints.
